ELKE ERSCHFELD • ART DIRECTION

Elke Erschfeld, Associate Creative Director

Originally from Germany, I’ve spent most of my advertising career in New York spreading the German stereotype of being efficient, precise and knowing good beer. Early in my career I worked as an art director at Springer & Jacoby in Germany where I was part of a team to launch the new SLK for Mercedes-Benz. In 1997 Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners moved me to New York where I created print and TV campaigns for such brands as Olympus, Target, Liberty Mutual, Citibank and The History Channel.

In April 2002 I joined Ziccardi Partners Frierson & Mee, which is well known for its expertise in high-end luxury advertising where I created campaigns for Kohl’s, American Ballet Theatre and Warnaco while supervising creative teams.

Lured by the opportunity to become part of a management team to open the New York office I joined Colby & Partners (now DentsuNext) in June 2004. Since then I’ve has been creatively co-spearheading the Sharp Electronics account while working on upscale brands like Moet Chandon or the Mall at Short Hills and creating integrated print and online campaigns for Sage Software.

I’ve won numerous awards in Germany as well as in the United States and I'm the recipient of a Fullbright Scholarship. In addition I’m fluent in German and English and have a functional understanding of French and Spanish. In my spare time I’m a passionate traveler which allowed me to explore most of Europe and South America. Most recently I climbed Machu Picchu in Peru and skied the Andes in Chile.
